Duno has become a joke

Well as many of you know I have been taking up for Duno.com and it's owner Dan for a couple months. Well I have come to eat a little crow so to speak.
Why well the site owner has made me look like a fool. I stand my ground on the fact that Duno was a victim of site scamming. But! The owner promised me and others that the ones that truly earned the money in their accounts would be paid. Well that never happened. Then he came up with a daily jackpot. That also fell through as the "daily" jackpot was just when ever Dan got around to it. And in the past week or so he seems not have gotten around to it. Now he has basically spit in the faces of myself and all of the other members that have stuck by him during the time he was supposed to be getting things straight. Well he has it setup so that a person can post a question and then answer it to get paid .03, and only the 1st answer is paid. Not only has he not been paying people but instead using the money to buy other sites.
Am I mad about it? H*ll yes I am mad. Not because he owes me money (I am owed more than most as I wasn't paid for a month before other didn't get paid) I'm mad because of the ball faced lies that have been told. I have other interest that I derive my income from, and posting on these sites is merely a hobby. So I apologize for saying he was man of his word. Looks like I was wrong.

There are many of us who have done the very same thing as you Lacy, in that we trusted Dan to keep his word but then he absented himself from the site for a week. The jackpots were certainly paid into the paypal account of the winner but they were not regular and in fact had not been paid for some 9 days before he changed the payment system. I have been one of the "stayers" there because I believed in Dan and that he would honour his word but when a few things started to surface I became concerned. I do believe that the initial problems back in January were caused by those who were cheating and scamming the system at that time.
Okay, so he is paying 3 cents per post, and that is good but to allow someone to ask and answer their own questions is so wrong. It is also a retrograde step in my opinion and already the site is seeing the same old questions happening there. It is sad because the site has potential but with a very different owner and someone who will not allow those cheating to get away with it. You do not have rules that say someone can answer their own question because then it is simply about the money and not for people to find out things that they otherwise do not know.
I would like to see a similar site to duno started up, but one where there were moderators who could stop the spammers in their tracks. A site where people can ask good questions, get correct answers and where the members could learn something for their honest endeavours. It is not a good day when something like this happens, as it calls into question all those honest websites that do actually exist on the internet.
You do not need to apologise to me Lacy, because I too was one of those who was taken in by the scam that Duno is.

Man i can't believe this duno.com matter is still here. I thought it was over already. I thought everyone has left that scam site long ago already. Just move on, that site will be shut down just like that scammer payposter.com. So move on.

It is going again, but it would take someone a long time to earn minimum payout. That is now $5 but it does remain to be seen whether or not people actually do get paid their money, or whether they lose it all again. I do not go to that site at all now but instead post on adviseoranswers.
Good luck to those who still go to duno but don't go it if you are in there for the money.

Well I got to say that It burns my bridges, "whatever that is".. That someone made you feel absolutely comfortable with just to get something for nothing. It always happens no matter what sort of business you're in. I always see it happen within the business that I'm associated with on a daily basis. Now sure I'm not certain about cyberbusiness or the internet business at all. But, business is business as they say. If it's sound too good, it can't that great at all!

When Dan decided to change to a lottery system, he should have first paid out anything owed to the members. This would have brought the site back to a clean slate. Then he could have moved forward in whatever way he saw fit. Since instead he just wiped out the amounts people had built up in their accounts, I knew then that the site was not entirely on the up and up. Really a shame though that so many folks were taken in by duno. I know a lot of people vouched for him and he has since betrayed their trust. I'm sorry to hear that he has chosen to neglect the community that trusted him yet again, but I guess it's just one more example of a scam site that makes promises it will never fulfill.
