I started reading at the age of 3 and have not stopped. I love to read and spend as much time as possible,
I really have a hard time understanding how people can not like to read.
I am also a compulsive reader, I read everything, I can't control it.

Pretty much for as long as I can remember. I got it from my mum as she always had a book in her hands. I was real quiet and shy as a kid and would spend hours either at the library or in my room reading the books that I had got there.

I can't remember a time when I didn't read or enjoy reading and have read all sorts of different books. I know how lucky I am as my youngest son is severely dyslexic and although he can now read it is a big struggle so not a pleasure like it is for me.

I have been reading as long as I can remember. I used to love to read encyclopedias and sports books. I don't read nearly as much as I used to, but I can occasionally find some time to flip a few chapters.

I got used to going to the library when I was young. I loved to go to the library and read those glossy books with carttons and pictures all over them. Then it became a passion for me to read books, as I grew older.

I have loved reading for quite some time. Ever since I was able to read. But now I am really getting more into it. When I was younger however, I was absolutely in love with the Goosebump series and The Babysitters Club series. I also liked the Two Of a Kind series with Mary-kate and Ashley. It was a t.v. show and then they made books out of it. So basically all my life you could say I have been a reader.

I was practically born with a book in my hand. I don't know exactly how old I was when I learned to read, but I was a dedicated reader by the time I was six, and haven't stopped.

I have always been a reader. Officially, my mom said I started to learn how to read at 4 years and 8 months. She was my first teacher. She taught me how to read and would read to me every night. I was a very precocious child. When I was 7 or 8, I would be reading encyclopedias. (Trust me, I do not understand half of the things I read, but I was reading. LOL!) I started reading paperback romances and popular bestsellers by the time I was 10 or 11. By then, the habit was set. I was an only child, and books just became my new bestfriends.
Now, as an adult, I still love to read, but current responsibilities have limited my time. I do not read as much as I used to. Furthermore, my tastes have expanded, including non-fiction, motivational materials into my choices. Still, once in a while, I still lose myself to a good book.

Yes, I have been a reader since I could start to read from my childhood favourites of enid blyton books to the novels I am reading now. It is something I enjoy and I could do on my own in my personal space and time. As a child, it spurred my imagination and allowed me escape the mundane and boring. As an adult, it allows me to relax and think out of the box, refreshing me and I really could learn a lot through reading.
So, I felt I must instill the same habit into my kids and since there are v. young, I would buy them books, baby books, board books, bedtime books, whatever I find interesting. Eventhough they could not read yet. I just want to surround them with books and read to them whenever I can. Taking them to the library is also something I like to do.
It is my dream to collect books and have a personal library of my own in my home. :-) I hope that would come true soon when I move into a house of my own... I will definitely dedicate a corner or a room as a home library.
