What do women mean when they ask you to "speak your mind"?

Spending time with my girlfriend is a precious thing for me. Whether we go out, eat or simply stay in each others arms on a couch, it already means a lot to me. Listening to her stories and day experience is like music to my ears. And I have the impression that she really loves to say whatever it is that comes into her mind.
When it is my turn to tell my story of the day, I often just say that it's just as it was yesterday and last week. It is because I do routinary job. Then I would go silent just because I don't have anything in mind to say. As I look at her, she would start to analyze my facial expression and ask me, "what are you thinking?". I would smile and say, "Nothing." That's when she starts assuming that there is something else that I wanted to say when all that there is on my mind is just "nothing".

talk to her... explain that your job is very routine and nothing much happens.. tell her how much you enjoy listening to her. Next time she asks you what you are thinking, if you are looking at her, smiling... you may be thinking how beautiful she is or how much you love her. Tell her that. Women just want to know what is going on in your head. We don't necessarily want anything profound, just like to know that you want to share things with us too !

I guess coming from a lady herself best resolves this question. But do I have to do this all the time? Don't you get annoyed hearing the same things, however good they may sound? Even if it's about telling you how beuatiful you are or how much you are loved?

no..we always want to hear how much you love us !!! I don't mean to constantly replay the same conversation or words, just let her know that you really don't have a lot to say about your job..it's tedious..but let her know you still enjoy hearing about her day and spending that "quality" time with her. Just as you stated here, how much you enjoy spending time with her, being in each others arms, etc. That was really touching and I think she would love to hear that from you !!

Sometimes, our girlfriends know us too much that they will tune in right away if we got something in your mind. Constant sharing of stories and ideas can do that. Your face may be a little transparent for your friend to see and she must be thinking you like to tell her something but are reluctant to do so. Or maybe you're friend is not use to you seeing acting like that way.
