Yeah, pldt lines sucks. If it would be that easy to just change phone numbers that you've been using for almost 10+ years we would have done it. Did you noticed that the quality of the calls in Globe is much better compared to PLDT. Every time a friend calls me at our PLDT landline, I always ask them to call me at our Globe landline. Their PLDT DSL also sucks. I noticed that during weekends there are some sites that I couldn't access. I always see an invalid URL. I'm sure that the sites I go to are all valid because when I'm in the office I could access those sites. I also experience slowness of our DSL. My subscription in PLDT DSL 2Mbps but during weekends, the connection speed is like dial-up.

oh, that may be really extremely disappointing for you. imagine having to pay for 2Mbps dsl and getting a dial-up speed....if that happened to me, I might just storm right into the PLDT building. haha!

we just got our pldt phone fixed last tuesday. it took them more than a month to fix it and their service is really awful. last monday I call their call center and complain that its already more than a month and they keep saying i am now in the priority list and it will just take two days. I told them I feed up with their priority and two days promise. they were telling me that a month and still nothing happened. I ask for their supervisor or manager I can talk to but he could not give me one, I ask for the number of the technician and got the same answer. I ask for a job order number and told me its the technician who will give it. after that I went to globelines to apply but that time I dont have all the needed requirement. When I was about to submit globelines requirements the next day, Pldt came and fix our phone. My mom and I agreed that next time our phone broke, we will cancell our PLDT and take globeline even it is more expensive. BTW, Globeline is now more than 700 pesos a month, it is now more expensive than PLDT but at least they have good service

I don't have that bad experience with PLDT so far but if you would compare the customer service of PLDT and Globelines I would prefer Globelines. I recently transferred to San Juan from Quezon city. I have PLDT line at QC and had quite good service. When we transferred in Sn. Juan we tried Globelines broadband it was far more cheaper then PLDT DSL I only cashed out around PHP 500 for my line to get connected and if not my housebeing empty the whole day my line was already connected after only 2 days after paying the fee. I am waiting for it this coming weekend. As for PLDT when I inquired they were asking lots of papers and was asking about 2k+ for connection and everything. In globelines they immediately have my line reserved as I applied for one. Although in both service you will have to wait in line for quite sometime before you could be entertained properly.

I use PLDT DSL in our computer rental business, we had a good first few months. But the internet acted up after the earthquake last December. Recently our connection improved. But to say that Globe is better, I'm not sure. One of our competitor uses Globe, and now he is at his wits end with all the internet problems he's having. He even experienced 3 days straight without connection. For now we can't cancel PLDT since we have a 2 year contract, but after that we might choose either BayanTel or Digitel, it's much cheaper with the same services.

I noticed that, too. PLDT's support and customer service sucks big time. I thought after having competitions from other service provider that they'll improve but after my experience with them last year, I realized they still haven't. Last year, we transferred residence and since the new area don't have Bayantel, we applied for PLDT (line and dsl) but the phone line didn't get connected until after almost 2 months! and then after they connected the phone line, that's the only time that they processed our dsl application. But the processing for the dsl connection was so slow! I ended up canceling it and applied for mydestiny broadband instead. MyDestiny processed and got me hooked to the net in 2 days! If given the chance, I wouldn't go for pldt right now.
