My baby is nine months right now and knows how to stand is trying to take little steps, I think maybe by next month he will be able to walk a little. I'm just curious to when your baby started to walk. I heard that boys walk slower thank girls. Is that true?

Well every child is different, and while i dont have a girl to compare to, my little boy started walking when he was about 8 months old. He did it really early though. Some babies wont walk untill they are over a year old, others before a year, it all depends. My son wanted to get moving, and cruised everywhere and learned to walk in about a months time.

When they are going to start walking depends solely on the child. Every child is different. I have heard there are a few factors that can lean one way or the other, but they arent for sures....such as heavier babies tend to walk a bit later (since they have more weight to learn to balance). Some say that if your baby is a talker, they may walk later, and "physical" babies will talk later. But like I said, every baby is different.
My son walked at 9 months, and my daughter at 10. My son has always been a very physical child, walk "early", climber, never sits still!!! Dont rush the walking thing, I know you are sitting and waiting, I did too, but once they start walking...be prepared to start the chasing...LOL.

Yea my baby is a little on the heavy side. I guess that is a myth about boys learning slower than girls. I can't wait until my baby starts to walk, but I'm already chasing him all over the house right now while he is crawling^^

my lil girl is 15mths. she only started crawling when she was 12mths. today she walks around the bed and tables and chairs etc, but she won't walk unaided. She's either scared or just lazy....lol
i try encouraging her to walk a little everyday without the aide of anything.....but no ways!!!! she prefers the ground

every child is different! my daughter took her first steps around 9 months, so everybody thougt she could walk before her first birthday! but it took a little bit longer, around 15 months she walked without help. so you see it goes the way it goes!
my youngest one starts walking in her babywalker right now, so i am waiting when she starts her first steps! but i guess that takes a while because she cannot sit alone!
