Blood and Chocolate by Anette Curtis Klause is the tale of a female werewolf trying to fit in at her high school and maintain her identity among her pack. I first read the book years ago and it has remained a favorite of mine since then. I was so happy to hear they made a movie off it, but from what I've seen the movie is nothing like the book. Has anyone read Blood and Chocolate, what were your thoughts on it? Have you seen the movie yet? Did you like it, why or why not?

i haven't seen the movie, but i heard it didn't follow the book at all. The book however, I love dearly and make it a point to read it once every other month.

Yes it was a very good book and I still enjoy reading it. I still haven't seen the movie since it didn't follow the book. Why spoil a good thing?

The special effects were fabulous but, I have to a admit, it wasn't paced very well. It was kind of dull in parts, like where the couple was falling in love. I would have liked to have seen more "werewolf-like" behavior. When they hunted as a pack, I liked that... even when she was jogging.... but there was too much dialogue and, as I said, the romance part dragged. It started off with a dramatic beginning but then faded... then would pick up again... then would slow down. But the scenery was great, too. I loved the sets. I'd recommend you see it on the big screen and not wait to see it on DVD.

This reivew is making me even more leary of seeing the movie. Perhaps I should just stick to the book since I did like the book.
