how painful is sibbling rivalry?

sibbling rivalry is really a pain. its like a reality tv show but your competitors are your sister or brother. for me sibbling rivalry started on parents. favoritism is a start of a rivalry. do you experience this? what can you say about it? whats your opinion?

I know that very well. When I was becoming really aware of the different way I was treated by my parents as compared to my siblings it hurt a lot and I was not mature enough or brave enough to go to my parents and ask why there was a difference.When you are ignored and put down no matter what age you are it hurts and colors your perception of other events. And the anger is debiliting.
