Both love their children But...Mother has the major share, because she has affinity to the child by body and soule. Father is introduced to the Child only by the Mother.

I don't think that this is a great question because a child deserves the love and the respect by both his parents.
Mother and father are both important for every child, if they will love and respect their child, he/she will grow up with a great esteem of himself/herself (in Italian: autostima, autoesteem??) and an opened person to the whole society.
A good relationship with both the parents is a good starting-point to create a person mature in wisdom.

is it really a matter of who loves a child more??? i think all love their children just as much. Fathers and Mothers definately have different relationships with their children and show their love in different ways but it doesn't make ones love any less important. A mother is naturally more nurturing while a father is more naturally the breadwinner. this is also true in all of the animal kingdom. the mother stays home to care for the young while the father goes on the hunt.....but our society is so much more diverse now. oftentimes it is the father that is home nurturing the children and i really think these fathers don't get the recognition they deserve, just as the stay at home mom doesn't get the recognition she deserves. It is sad that the parents in our society aren't always the primary caregivers in their childrens lives anymore as daycares take over because people need two incomes just to make ends meet and to try to make life better for their children in the future. the role of parent...wether mother or father is sosososo important!!!!!!!
so neither loves their child more, tho both bond differently.

this is the difference between mother & father that mother links with childrens all the day and father meet them after his work which is for them that's why childrens think that mother is so closer than father but it is not true and both of them love their childrens a lot anyways thanks for response...!

I think both mothers and fathers love their kids as much as they possibly can.

I think a Father and a Mother both can love their children just as much as the other. I think they both can love who their child is and want great things for them. I also think they can love their kid differently though.
