How should old bedridden people be treated? They become a big burden on the family- physically, mentally and financially. How should we treat them?

How else would you treat them than with love and respect?
They are old, am i wrong? That means that they had a long life of hard work, trials and tribulations, they deserve the best. especially from their children. These people mostly put their lives on the line, energy, time, and everything, to be there for their children, protecting, loving, respecting their children (now not all but most that have children) and i think they deserve the up most respect, love and dignity.
It doesn't matter what kind of burden they are to you, you do what's right, don't treat them like a burden, don't treat them like hell, and don't treat them like children. Do what you can for them, because if you don't, your no better than half of those abusers, and jerks that work at old folk homes scalding and allowing them to die alone.
Be the bigger person and give these people the last years of their lives that they deserve. Protect them with all you have.
