I wanted to be a writer. It has always been a dream of mne. Last year I had my first poem published. I've had a few more published since then. My short story has been accepted for publication as well. So, dreams really do come true. I love writing, to me it is a natural high.

My grandparent owned a small ice cream stand that my parents bought off them. I always wanted to buy it off my parents and then make a huge chain out of it. I'm gald I did not buy it (well I was in high school when the sold it) becasue it was a lot of work for them. And they did not make a lot of money from it.

When I was a kid I had a lot of things running on my mind. At first I want to be a dentist so I could help my cousin because during that time he always experienced tooth aches. Then it change and I want to be a doctor and a lawyer at the same time. Yup! During that time I was determined to have two jobs at the same time. I want to be a doctor but definitely I will not charge the poor people only the rich one. Then as college was approching I decided to pursue a career in engineering since I was really inclined in Mathematics. Right now I am in my fourth year as an engineering student. But I still want to be a doctor.

Well - I wanted to be a top tennis player, and win Wimbledon! Problem is I was always terrible at sports at school, so that was never going to be more than a dream:-(( I am still a tennis fan, and still go to Wimbledon every year, but sadly the closest I have ever got to the Winners' trophy was when I saw it in a glass case in the Wimbledon Museum!

When I was a kid, I always dreamed about and wanting to be a professional baseball player. I played little league ball for numerous years when I was younger but got away from that and it is too late now to be a pro athlete. I have always loved sports and my dad and grandfather took me to Phillies games when I was a child. They make really good money and only play part of the year. :-)

I wanted to be a female wrestler or a truck driver. By time I was a teenager. I always wanted to be a social worker. Or own my own resturant.
So sad..I haven't accomplished any of it.

I wanted to be an astronaut. But I know I'll never be one. When I learned how to play basketball, I wanted to be an NBA player. You know, be actually better than Michael Jordan. Then again, I'm not that dedicated to basketball.

When I was little I wanted to be a pop star. I used to stand infront of the mirror with my hairbrush and sing 'Sad Sweetdreamer'.
Then I wanted to be Snow White!
When I realised that was out of the question I decided I wanted to be a nurse. I took all my subjects in school to do it, went and did voluntary work at a hospital and realised I couldn't stand bodies, so that went straight out the window!!
I did always dream of having a family with a handsome man who I would wait on and be the perfect wife to. I did get that life but realised its not the fairytale I had been sold!!!LOL

When I was a kid, the two things I wanted the most was to stay alive (my parents were spies for the government) and to be a preacher. Unfortunately, I was handicapped as a young person and mistreated by other people a lot. I did not feel that I could be an effective preacher. I ended up doing other things in life.

I wanted to be a nurse until I was in the 3rd grade. My brother got hit in the head with a baseball bat. I saw blood spray everywhere. I almost passed out. The sight of blood does that to me. There went my dreams of being a nurse.

Oh I kept changing my mind. At first I wanted to be an artist (not knowing exactly what it was. Surprise, surprise..years later I am one..among other things..but not a pro) Then I wanted to be a Waitress. Then an author.
I am an author now. I dabble in sketchingand drawing, painting, photography..along with karate, ninjitsu..and other martial arts..which is why I consider myself an artist. I create things. Though besides writing, I'm not real good at any of those other things yet. Though I'm not that bad at them anymore.

For me, the only 2 things i have ever wanted to be since i was just starting to walk and talk was a Mother and a Psychologist...
I help all of my friends and family over come problems now, but sometimes i get pretty frustrated, and i know that i get way too involved, so there's no way i could be a good psychologist, though some say the best ones are the ones that are the most involved, i think it would tear me apart to see what some people have to go through.
Still to this day i want to be a psychologist sometimes, but most of all a Mother, that's something that i will always want until i get it, and i know that even after i become a mother, i will always be thankful for the gift of motherhood.
I guess i was an odd child.
Yes this is a good discussion.
Have a wonderful day.
