Anyone read these? What did you think?
I like the allegory in the book, how the fight with the Imperial Order mirrors America's own struggle against terrorism. I think Goodkind's philosophy is something everyone should adopt. Our lives are our own, and we should not allow ourselves to be ruled by tyranny or criminals. Our lives are worth more than thiers.

Oh Terry! Terry Goodkind! Go go Terry!
This guy must be my favorite author. I followed him since he was a babe when he came out with "Wizard's First Rule". And he is one of the few authors whose books I would buy (instead of borrow from a library) because I just want to support him for his effort.
I love his way of handling the concept of magic... my idol would be Lord Rahl lol :P

You ever see an interview with him. Ohhh he's just got such a personal love for his characters, it's so good to see an author like that. I really look up to him as a writer.

I wouldn't say America as a whole. The struggle between D'Hara and the Imperial Order is one taking place within America. The Order, to me, represents Secular Progressives, the people who dont' think pedophiles deserve jail time, illegal immigrants should have all the rights of citizens, without going through the red tape of legal immigration, and stuff like that. Criminals' rights are more important than victims' rights. Goodkind's words are definetly allegorical, and most assuredly thought-provoking.

I love these books so much I still quote the dang book, LOL. The sad thing is, I felt like a few books into the series it was getting repetitive. The writing quality is absolutely remarkable.
I love these books....
quoting the book: "People are Stupid" lol.
There's another thing said in the book, but I dont know the exact quote. It goes something like, "Never follow a woman or a man who has a woman in his line of sight."
I need to find that actual quote.

"Never follow a woman who has a man in her line of sight" or some facsimile thereof. Good advice, actually.
