marriage is not the imprisonment!!!!!its a freedom!!!!!hw? why? .when do we marry people? we marry when we r able to stand ouself by giving freedom to our parents ,marriage shows tht we r now free from depending on others for our livelihood!!! marriage will bring matureness in us n we r free from childish decission now.....if u r not married everyone s eyes keep on u n comments n curses arround u.specially for ladies. if an woman is not married ,rest of the world is arround her,its not a freedom......if u r maaried u r free!!!! why it happens becuase marrying is essential phenomenon to sustain our generation if somebody is neglecting the natural phenomenon he she has to face many changes around........

Hmm.. interesting question. I like to believe that marriage is not imprisonment - imprisonment maybe, in the arms of your love? /cheesy^^
You don't really lose your freedom per se when you get married.. you just have to give up certain things to make both of you happy and content. Of course, you partner gives up something too.
Personally, I prefer to remain unmarried. I am too, uh, wild for anyone, anyways. \m/^_^

Personally, I feel marriage is imprisonment only if you make it so. Why girls think they lost their freedom is because there are too many things which require their attention - hubby, housework, in-laws, kids - all these contending for the limited time she has in order to be a good wife, maid, daughter-in-law and mother, additional responsibility she did not have before marriage. If her hubby understands and shares the responsibilities and gives her due personal space, marriage will never be imprisonment.
