Take the money and put it in a savings account where it will earn interest. If you can spare some, buy yourself a small treat. Something to remind you that you bought that with your own money! :) It's a good feeling. I remember my first salary too and I bought myself a CD player. I also gave some to my parents cos' I know they don't earn much and I wanted to be able to help them out a bit with my earnings.

Yes I was happy when I first received my first salary. Thought I would spend little bit for upgrading my computer on that time, I was not married so I can spend anything I like. Now that I'm married, everything I earn is for family and hardly I spend for myself.
