Forward Emails!!!

What do you think of them? You know the ones, the sometimes funny or cute, iritating little emails from friends and family that fill your inbox, and are sometimes more frustrating than the spam that some of you get. I mean some of them i don't mind, one of my friends sends me the addorable or really funny ones only, and i don't mind hers, but darn, when you have 30 people on your list, sending you 3-5 each, each day, it becomes a pain, because yes you want to see the good ones right? and it's not so easy as to just read the subject line, because most of the time it just says something dumb anyways right? What do you think? DO you go through all of your forwards? Do you ask your friends just not to send them? i had to ask a few of my friends not to send them anymore because i just couldn't stand it, i was getting 10ish a day from some of them, now it's a lot less, thank god, but i would totally love to hear your thoughts on this, as FWD's can be VERY frustrating! Happy MyLotting, enjoy the wonderful day! Ash

I get alot of those too. Sometimes they are annoying...I get alot of jokes and alot of religous ones asking for prayers or something someone put a picture in the email with a bible verse. Then once in awhile I will get a joke that will make me laugh like crazy and I have to send it on to my friends and the people in my address book. Those are the ones I like.

Yeah, but when your mail box gets filled up and you have to go through lets say 7 bad ones just to get to one good one and then back on to the sucky ones, man is it frustrating, Thanks for the response!

I find most of them annoying if they are from family and friends. I have one cousin who forwards me about 10 political emails a day. I love him but...

I find forwarded emails to be very annoying most of the time and just delete them without reading it. It is like spam in my opinion and most of the ones that I have received I had no interest in. I do not get as many now because I have told my friends and family not to send those, unless it is something very important.

You should be able to set up filters, so that the emails can go into specific folders, it only takes a little organisation at the begining then you only have to open the ones from the people that you really want to read, It also makes it easier to delete unwanted e-mails, you can even have some sent straight to the delete folder, so you never see them. I find using Incredimail (instead of Outlook Express) is quite good, because you can set up white lists, and black lists for all your incoming mail (could have all forwarded e-mails from some people go direct to delete, and from other people go to their own specified folder.) I get several hundred smam e-mails a day so use Mailwasher to filter out the spam e-mails first.

please send me your email address, im sure that you will not going to be bored out of my forwarded messages, because i think that forwarded messages are not irritating or frustrating especially it has images atteched in it. i have messages that has intersting pictures. if it bores you, im pretty sure that you already have this one., forwarded messages are not frustrating if you have the patience to read it.

I have my share of these forward emails. Sometimes they came by the ton! They came from my friends and also from people I don't know. Some are heart-warming, some funny, but what I hate receiving are those "Chain-emails" which warns you that if you do not forward them something bad will happen to you and your family. It is really quite annoying.Don't be scared when you receive these kind of e-mail as long as your faith is strong, nothing can harm you.

Most of them just get a quick delete from me. I won't forward to 10 friends, so, out it goes. There are some funny ones I get though that just make my day. I don't think there's much we can do to stop it. There are people who insist on sending them no matter what. I don't need another G*D DA** angel in my inbox...

A friend just got her computer fixed and I gave her my address so we could get in touch this way. She sent me about 5 and instead of forwarding them she replied but sent them to me.Needless to say, I did not get the whole thing. I replied back and told her how to do it correctly. I do not care if they send them as I can always not open them. I did get one and it was really cool, and I did like it. The ones I hate are the forward this to 5 friends to have good luck, or the like. I do not believe in this sort of thing . It is silly. I have an aunt that sends them all the time and sometimes I do not even open them. I have forwarded a few, but only if I think they will really like them, like the weird toilets I got. i sent it to a couple of friends, but not often do I do this.

Yeah, i don't like the chain mail either, i think it's worthless, sometimes i don't mind the ones that you pass along to all your friends saying a little survay all about you or something, but i only send it to the person who sent it to me, cause no need to bother anyone else with it... That must have been a pain, it's nice that you helped your friend out though Thanks for the response!

I don't mind, so long as the forwarded emails are really good or funny. Of course it helps a lot if the subject line catches my eye with these types of emails. I just delete them if I start getting too many.

I dont mind forwarded mail, but I get alot of repeats, because most of my friends know each other. So when a friend sends a email to all her friends, and that friend continues it..i get about 10-12 emails of the same thing. So after i read the first one, I will delete it.

More often then not, I tend to ignore them. It's kind of like spam, only from people you know. It clogs up my email! I have a few people who do send forwards... I don't say anything, but I never participate or send them on. I find them annoying, especially the ones that are like the old chain letters you used to get (in the real mail, that is). At least those were few and far between, if you ever got one at all! I just delete them and go on. If someone were to send me a lot each day, I think I'd have to ask them to take me off their FWD list.

I will admit that occasionally I find a forward that I thought was funny but for the most part they irk me. Especially those annoying "send this to X amount of people including the one who sent it" ones. I usually just delete mine and not bother to forward them back. My real friends know I don't like spam much and so they know not to take offense, one should hope.

Hey Ash I will be honest here, I hate forwards and never open them! As soon as I see "FWD" written in the message, it's an automatic delete. The sad thing, is that I never actually recieve letters or anything important in my inbox, it's always forward junk. It always seems to be the same people sending them too..

Awww, yeah i would hate that, it's always the same people on my list. and there's a friend of mine that hates them and whines about them and then she sends them out herself.... she knows what i think of them, but i don't think she remembers.... whatever.... always the delete like you said. Thanks for responding hun

I get way too many of those. I don't mind the jokes or the funny pictures ones but I hate chain letters. I never usually even read them all the way through. I just delete them. I have a bunch of friends and family members on my msn. Here's how it works. My sister usually starts it. She finds one and forwards it to everyone on her list. (Including me). We have alot of the same people on our lists so usually the next day, all of those people send the email to everyone on their lists (again including me) so I get like 4 or 5 copies of the same letter. Some of these people I NEVER get an "actual" email from them. Just all this forwarded stuff.

I have one good friend who send me between 3 and 5 a day. I always check them, even though I sometimes find it annoying lol. She sends me ones that always make me smile or outright laugh though, so it's not all bad. I get a lot of spam emails anyway, and sometimes her emails end up in the spam folder so I always have to go check there too. I suspect I shall miss them soon. She is going in for emergency open heart surgery on the 9th of March and the situation is very serious. i know I'm going to miss the emails coming till she gets out.

I know where you are coming from.I like some of them that are innovative and informative and sometimes funny. But, when I have 60-70 people sending me the same chainmails over and over it gets little irritating and sometimes you want to add that email to the spam list so they go straight to the junk folder. That said, there are some that just make my day or lift my mood when I am having a terrible day. That's one reason I have not added people who forward me such emails to the junk list coz you never know when you might need them some day to bring you out of your blues, lol.I hope to strike a balance when the filters have more options to customize our choices for emails.

Yes i usually read the cute ones, i read most of them but i only forward the ones who come from close friends and family. I actually got pretty pissed off at my boyfriend sister this week about them. I send her a email cards for her birthday, new years, and send her photos of family gatherings, and i get nothing in responses or thanks nothing. But yet she has the nerve to send me this chain email, i think thats rather rude, you cant send me a thanks for photos or cards but yet you think its ok to send junk. I also usually resend the religious ones to family

Usually I will skim over it really quick and then just delete it. I find them to be annoying. I've never asked anyone to not send me one. But I myself never send them out.
