Friend list order criteria changed again! How is it listed now?

A friend figured it out not too long ago that in one's friends list, users were listed by the first number of their rating and then alphabetical. (She did a great job at figuring that out because I was always annoyed with my friends changing pages.) So the first page would have everyone where their rating started with a 9 and then alphabetical.
Well, I always knew which page my best friend was on. So, when I go to my friends page, I click the page number link to get to her profile. But suddenly, last night, she was on my first page!!! Which is nice! But then I realized it was not because her rating number changed. The rating numbers on the first page is now a mixture!
And it isn't alphabetical at all!!! So how is myLot organizing the friends list now????
Why change it? Would just putting it alphabetical be better?
Or give each user the control to list their friends how they want like Myspace.
Either way, I have no clue what order myLot has placed now.
Do you have any clue?
What do you think of the way myLot listing the order of your friends?

giving us the control of how they are listed would be nice....(like myspace as you mentioned) I knwo I would definately prefer that actually..right along side the blocking feature LOL....

Definitely! There have been times that I have wished that I could block some people. LOL Then at least our star "reputation" would not take a nose dive because someone does not like our opinions. LOL

I think that the jumble in our friends list is affected by the lack of emails coming into our inboxes. I have to look for discussions this morning. Wonder how long this will last. My list never was number ordered. Each page had different numbers and was alpha per page. It is not any longer and also on notifications of friends discussions. So let us hope that Management fixes this soon.
I want my friends in total alphabetical order. that is it,

I think I get it! The friends on the first page are the ones that were first added to my friends list when I started out. I went to the last page and found the people that I recently added.

I also have no clue, but I really don't look at my friend lists that often, so I guess it really has no effect on me. However, I think that it would be neat if you could set the order your self. Perhaps that will be an upgrade in the future?

I thought Zukper might have it....I was her first friend here at myLot and I am listed first on her friends. :)
I know...just when I was used to them organizing it that way you figured it out...they go and change it on us! Geez! LOL

I read through this discussion and then checked my list again. It looks like the friends that you have had for the longest time are listed first, and the last page are the most recent additions. This makes it difficult because how are we supposed to remember who was added before who? I would prefer to have the option to organize my friends list any way that I wanted to. It has always been a jumbled mess.

I too would like to do the same. We should be give control of how we would like the list to appear. We have the option to add and delete, why not to organize.

I noticed this at least a few days ago that they are not in any particular order right now, unless I am missing something. I will have to look again but it did change for sure and really threw me when trying to find certain friends on there. Alphabetical order would be very nice and easier to find people. It will probably change again at some point as there are changes constantly being made on here.

LOL truly? i'm not sure how mylot does anything. i live in the land of the constantly confused when it comes to mylot. If i'm looking for a friend i usually just go to the discussions my friends started and figure i'll come across them sooner or later!

Yeah, I noticed this as well. It seems that the two users I looked at the most are now on my first page, but not first on my first page, so I'm not sure how it works!

Well, I think that it might have something to do with who's been your friend the longest or who's pages you go to the most often. Medooley is first on my page... he's the one who referred me to myLot... then Driscollini is next, he was the first person I referred to on myLot. Then I have some others that I have referred like Tanyakapler and Layner (who's never posted) ... then on my first page I have you and Cloudwatcher and some others who's discussions I frequently answer.
I think myLot is trying to accomadate us more in our friend's list and I appreciate that, but I would still like to have complete control of my friend's list!

I went a looked and have to agree with others it's from when they were added as your friend. The oldest friend is first and the newest is last listed. I wish they would find a better way, like alphabitical, or let us organize them how we want. It can be hard to find a friend listed there when you are looking. At least in alphabetical you'd know where to always look.

Oh no mine is not done like this it is all jumbled up it is in no order at all, and everyday it changes and is very hard to find them all. Mine has always been a mixture it has never been the same all the time, my main friend on my friends list was always on the 2nd list but last night she was on the first page. It would help a lot if it was done alphebetically or for us to put them where it is easier for us to find them. It has always taken me a long time to find my friends but I do find them eventually.

it seems to be now that whoever was your first friend is now first and so on and so forth.
It seems to work well enough now, I think. But it would be easier I think if it was in alaphatical order instead.
