Weird news! Child finds $1300.00 in thrift store book

on My Way News it was reported that on 2/23/2007 a babysitter was playing with a child and money just started falling out of the pages of this book that was purchased in a thrift store earlier that day. Kinda makes you want to go to the thrift store doesn't it. Have you ever found any treasures at the thrift store?

I have not been lucky to find something like that. But books is where we keep things of value. We have a 1935 silver certificate $5. Some day it will be worth a lot, but the only thing is...we forgot what book we put it in.lol If I ever donate my books to a thrift store, I better check them first.

wouldn't that be amazing, and no way to return the money being as it was froma thrift store no telling who it would of belonged to.

I wish I would find something that cool in a book!! I have never found anything, besides and old shopping list.

I have surely never found money in anything bought from a thrift store! I feel i get treasures when I can pick something useful up for a bargain price. Just last weekend I bought a teflon skillet from a thrift store for only 2 dollars. Immediately after that, I went to grocery store and saw a brand new pan for 18. Same size, style, of course mine is just used. So to me that is a treasure!
