contct lenses

Ok, so i've got bad eye sight, but don't hold that against me. I really hate wearing glasses, so i wear contact lenses. Sometimes i forget to take them out at night & go to sleep with them in. Wake up next morning & my eyes are really red. They don't hurt but they don't look too good. I did think about having my eyes done, but don't like the thought of someone cutting into my eye. Has anyone out there had laser eye treatment?

First, becareful about leaving your contacts in over night. I used to do that all the time and I was able to with my lenses. I hate wearing my glasses too so I would always wear my lenses. At one of my eye drs appointments they told me that if I continue to wear them while sleeping I am actually suffocating the eye because it is not getting enough air. If I continued there would be a point that I would not be able to wear my contacts anymore. I haven't had the surgery but I have known several people that have and they swear by it. My cousin had it done a few years ago and has been very happy with the results. I am still afraid to have it but have considering it a little in the past few years.
