I think a lot of us joined first, because of getting paid just to debate was enticing. But now I for one, enjoy it because of the friends I made and the debates. I would stay even if they stop paying alltogether. If you only post because of the money, then you might be better off leaving, because it doesn't sound like you would have any valuable contributions to make.

Thank you riptide. If people who posted only for money would leave then MyLot would have much better discussions. I am here because I like it. 2-6 cents a post is not a very good income in the USA. You can earn more money per hour if you were looking for change that people dropped in the streets than you will on MyLot. I have never used a forum before MyLot because they were junky.

I think that if you are here for the money, then YES you will not be satisfied. This is a community to meet new people, learn new things and get different opinions on things from others all over teh world...this is NOT a "get rich quick" place. By no means will you get rich, but you will make some little something. Where else can you meet new friends and get educated on things AND get paid for it? I have to admit that I came here BECAUSE of the fact that Mylot paid...however, I stay for the friendships I have made and the many many things I have learned. Money is just an extra perk. I have made $35 in about a month and a half. That's not TONS of money, but it's something. That $35 will pay for me and the kids to go to the zoo or it pays 1/2 my water bill. whatever...it's worth it.

I find it a challenge. Number one to figure out what the guidelines mean. Tend to be a bit vague. Also the number of people that are not willing to put a bit of effort into it. The one liners are irritating to me. We should be doing 3 or more lines of thought out response on the topic. That coupled with doing about 50 responss a day can net you good pocket money. I am regularly at fifty dollars and up a month now. Good pocket money. It allows me to fund what I do online with what I make online. My real world paycheck is now all mine. This place is what you make it and I would hope that after 585 you have made at least fifteen dollars. If not, try what I suggest and see if you are maybe pleasantly surprised. Good luck to you.

I notice a significant decrease in my earnings but maybe it's because I don't do mylotting that much compared to when I first joined due to several committments. That being said, I'm not ready to leave mylot yet for all the benefits I get from it aside from the money. I now have a meaningful hobby i. e. chatting and in the process, earn money. It's not really that big but helps a lot in covering up my bills. If someone joined mylot just to earn, chances are he will be disappointed and look for more money making sites in the net or elsewhere.
