Do you have any suggestion for the hanger on people?every morning before work I go to the bar of the office and the same colleague always ask himself and comes with me.I usually take a coffe and he has his breakfast with cappuccino and brioche. And this is the problem because few times I offered him the breakfast, but now he never pay for it and the 99% of times only I have to pay for both.He always pretends to pay but at the last moment he goes to the stairs and ot to call the elevator and leves me to the crate to pay. I've tried to go to bar withou him,but to go there I've to pass in front of his office and he is waiting for me every morning, beacuse he arrives before me.The only time he paid for me too he hold it against every day for one month. How can I do?He does the same thing with my other colleagues....Do you know same kind people?

On Monday morning bring just enough money to pay for your coffee and that is it. Even if you have to leave your wallet in the car. When you go up to pay, pay for your coffee and walk away. If he leaves his items there for you to pay for them, tell the cashier that the coffee is yours and that is all you will be paying for. Other than that I have to agree that you have to tell him you can't continue to pay for his breakfast every morning.

I would flat out and tell this guy "look I can't keep paying for your breakfast, I'm on a budget" or "I'm here for a coffee, I'm not eating" and if he doesn't like it to bad for him. He's a freeloader that needs to be told straight out that your tired of him using you.

Well just ask him if it isn't about time he paid...

Oh my, I can't say I've ever had anyone like that and am very thankful because it would drive me crazy. I'm a very independant person and even my best friends don't hang on me all the time - or they wouldn't be my best friends.

Don't pay for this person anymore. You are not their parent so it is not your responsibility. this person has realised you are a nice person and too embarassed to refuse to pay but this is like being bullied. Just say from now on I think we should pay for our own and if he isn't happy about it then so what? You don't owe him anything and you will feel happier about yourself and work once you have done this.
