Garage Sale

Have you experienced doing a garage sale? Like selling some old things or stuff or even used clothings in your house and sell them a very lower price?
I haven't actually tried selling from our own house. What I just tried was a group garage sale with my bunch of friends. It was actually our way of raising funds because at that time, we wanted to have some blood letting for the Red Cross Youth organization. It was really really fun. We sold some of our unused and old stocks at home. With our parent's permission of course.
Have you had that kind of experience too? It's also a fun way of making extra money. :)

I haven't personally done this but I had a colleague before who had a garage sale since she was going back to China and didn't want to carry all her stuffs back to her country. What she did was bring her stuffs in the office and invited some of her friends and our colleagues to take a look at her stuffs from wardrobe to kitchen equipments..and yeah, the prices were really low. It was really funny coz our office had become a little noisy market that time.. with all the people bargaining some more... lol

My mom and I have a yearly garage sale. My kids like helping us set up and price things. My son, is 5 and he was already acting like a little salesperson last summer. It was pretty funny to watch. But, it helps make a few extra dollars. For us it is more about clearing out the clutter.

I've been working on cleaning out our storage unit & ran across several things I thought about selling on ebay. Then our apartment complex sent out a flyer about doing a garage sale here in about 2 weeks. I have decided to try the garage sale & if anything good is left over, I may still list them on ebay. It'll be my first time to do either, so I'm hoping that I can make some extra money AND get rid of some extra stuff I don't use anymore. ;)

I have not experienced doing garage sale yet I would love to try especially that summer is fast approaching. I think it's the best time I can be good in selling my old books and some used clothes at home. This can pretty much give me extra earnings. I also don't want to have a lot of things around in the house which I don't use anymore.
