Orange Delight Custard (Bom Bocado de Laranja) Brazilian Recipe

Ingredients: 3 cups sugar 1-1/4 cups water 2 teaspoons butter 1-1/2 cups orange juice 3 tablespoons flour 5 egg yolks 2 egg whites 8 to 10 prunes, cooked and pitted (optional) How to Prepare: 1. Make a syrup of sugar and water, according to recipe, adding the butter while cooking. Cool and add 1 cup orange juice; mix the remaining 1/2 cup with the flour to a smooth paste; add to syrup. Beat eggs yolks and whites slightly, add to first mixture, and strain several times. Pour into greased custard cups, set in a pan containing 1 inch of hot water, and bake for 1/2 hour at 375º F, or until set. You may put a pitted cooked prune in the bottom of each custard cup before pouring in the mixture, if you wish.

thanks for the lovely recipe here is another recipe for you Baked Orange Custard With Strawberries Simple, light and tasty. 3/4 cup cholesterol-free egg substitute 1/2 cup sugar 1 (12 ounce) can fat-free evaporated milk 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice 1/4 cup heavy cream 1 tablespoon orange zest 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 1/2 cups fresh sliced strawberries 3 (1 g) packets sugar substitute or equivalent of 2 tablespoons sugar Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine egg substitute, sugar, evaporated milk, cream, orange juice, orange peel and vanilla in medium bowl until well blended. Pour mixture into 6 (6-ounce) custard cups or ramekins. Place custard cups in 13×9-inch baking pan. Fill with hot water halfway up side of cups. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Remove from oven; let cups remain in hot water bath until they reach room temperature. While custards cool, gently toss sliced strawberries with sugar substitute; set aside. Serve custards at room temperature or cold. Top with strawberries. hope you liked it
