Who here is a rapper? If so what's your name, where are you from, how long have you been rapping and do you have any music we can listen to?
I'll kick it off, my name is Revalation of the might EMS and Double M's crews. I'm from New Bedford, MA, originally born in South Bronx, NY. I'm Ikkon, been writing and rapping for about 4 years now, New Zealand born and raised in Rotorua, and I'll let you know when I get around to recording anything. Any tips for beginners recording-wise?

Well I'd say tip wise, just make sure you have a good soundcard in your comp if you are doing home recording. That's the most important thing. Research the best soundcard for recording purposes and for just starting out. Don't go crazy spending money but get something decent to start out so your quality is bearable. Next get a Mic Stand, Pop Filter, Microphone and a Mixer or Pre-Amp with all correct wires and you are ready to start. Download a recording and editing program, for example I use Cool Edit Pro 2.0 cause I got it free off-line and I've mastered how to use it. But there are plenty out there. Hope that helps. Peace!

Wow you really are a rapper. I'm not a rapper, just a 16 year old kid who likes to listen to rap. Once I had this obsession of becoming a famous rapper in me but now its gone away and replaced by other ambitions. I tried text rapping on some communities but wasnt particularly great. I'll check out your links though. Thanks. I'm a great appreciator of good rap.

Well it's cool to know you appreciate good music and I always welcome new fans and support with open arms. Though you tried rap and got discouraged you should never give up cause you never know what can happen. Granted you said you weren't good at it but no one is really that great when they first start, it takes work, practice and knowledge about what your doing. None the less, glad you like real music. I am a rapper from PAKISTAN. M not much experienced. I've been rapping for about 4 years. First i used to cover other's songs. But now i have one song of my own. Every one liked it i'll soon upload it on internet. And inshallah (with the will of GOD) i'll be a famous rapper soon. My friends and other people used to discouraged me a lot that u cant rap and bla bla. But i didn't listened to them and worked hard on my rapping skills. And now i have a song of my own.
