Humbled by the Beast..

Yesterday I was riding my bike down the road to my kungfu class when I saw what I thought looked like a small cat on the side of the road, just sitting there, crouched down like it might be hurt. As I got closer I noticed it was probably a half-bobcat tabby mix, as it had the high, sharp ears and unusually almond shaped eyes, almost Siamese in shape. As I got off my bike and tried to approach the creature tried to run off quickly, but due to a probably broken or sprained leg, tumbled and crashed into the street with the bone making a sickening thud. the sound itself made me wince, but then I noticed something, the cat stopped after stumbling and turned to look at me, it studied my form and finally looked me square in the eyes and made not a single sound, then slowly walked off, as if the broken limb did not pain the animal at all. After a while it turned back and looked back at me again and sat there on the other side of the road, as if nothing had happened. As I stood there marevlling at the cat I cried at how beautiful and majestically the wounded bobcat carried itself. It really made me think a lot about how people nowadays are.
It seems like anyone nowadays will complain about the smallest thing yet, this animal, something supposedly "lesser" than humans, having to hunt and claw to survive daily, does not even complain about a broken leg. I was forever humbled by this cat and I hope all you guys can learn something from it.
Has anyone else had one of these humbling experiences? Or what do you think of mine?
