Since I am also a green hand here,I can guess that you like English very much,or you have something difficulty in learning English, and your native language is notEnglish,am I Right?I advise you to calm doen and think carefully where should you start at beginning .This is very important .Blindness is not necessary.Ithink coming here often to read articles written by orthers,or reply the discussions can all help your improvement in English .Of course, you can also listen to the VOA or BBC or orther easier listenning materials to improve your listening .As to the oral English, you can chat with your foreign teachers or take with your classmates in English half an hour per day .Practice makes perfect!believe in yourself, you can make it!

Good luck on your effort to learn English. It is a good thing since everything is in English today. I would suggest a few fun websites for you to look at and learn from :

I never had these kind of technologies when I was in school so I learn to speak English and write in English by watching TV, listening to songs and read English magazines. I learn English by comparing the spoken English to the subtitles. it helped me to guess the meaning. A dictionary is a must when you want to learn English.

That's great that you want to improve your english. It's going to be difficult but once you've done it you've done it!
I am also trying to a learn a new language - Spanish... But I struggle with self discipline and just don't make the time.
We are so lucky to live in this time where the we can learn almost anything for free thanks to the internet. The BBC has a good website to learn english online - and it looks free too :) http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/
But you can get lots of english practice here at Mylot :)
Good luck to you!
