Your friend's boss is done something against the laws here. Tell your friend to complain this issue to the authority as soon as possible.:)

There are laws against that! Have your friend go to the department of labor and complain. He could collect a lot in damages.

I sypathize with your friend ,whoever fired him is narrow minded.But there's no use crying over spilt milk ,just got to look for another job.

There are laws against that. I just don't know if it would be worth the court and everything, esp if you're friend has already been fired.

Find another job. No point fighting for your rights especially to your ex-boss. They always win!
