Do you think this happens? Has it happened to you?

Im still using dialup as I can't justify the extra expense of switching to broadband just now. When the monopoly on broadband became unbundled in our country I noticed a dramatic slowing of my connection. I started to think that it was a ploy by my internet service provider to put me off dialup and encourage me to switch. Is this posible? Can they slow down your connection in some way? Lastly, is it really worth switching to BB thus paying twice what I currently pay for DUp?

Oh yes, I can say it is worth switching to Broadband. Broadband internet connections are mostly 50 times faster than the Dial Up connection. Unlimited broadband internet is what is rampant and commonly used here in our country, Phiilippines. I can tell you that you can do a lot of things with BB around. If you are familiar with VOIP phones or Voice Over Internet Protocol phones, they run through broadband connections. These VOIPs are commonly used nowadays too because most VOIPs can offer you unlimited calls anywhere regardless of the companies restrictions as to locations and stuff.
