What do you Think About Eternal Marriage?

Adam and Eve were married by God before there was any death in the world. They had an eternal marriage. They taught the law of eternal marriage to their children and their children's children. As the years passed, wickness entered the hearts of the people and the autority to perform this sacred ordinance was taken from the earth. Many people in the world consider marriage to be only a social custom, a legal agreement between a man and a woman to live together. What does Eternal Marriage mean to you? Would you be married eternally? Why not?

I believe marriage should be forever. As someone said, it doesn't always work out that way though. I think that you have to be commited though and sometimes people give up way too easy. I didn't get married until I was almost 40 y/o. I have had to learn to compromise on alot of things. I was use to just thinking of me. Now I have to make sure he is happy too. It takes a lot of work.

When my husband and I got married we took a vow of ALL LIFETIMES. So yes not only do I believe in eternal marriage, I am eternally married to my husband, and if you want to get technical, we have always been married, and will be married again in another life. Now that doesn't mean that I believe in reincarnation the way that some people do, I don't believe in second lifetimes on the same planet, so my concept is a little different than most.

My marriage is a legal contract. But it is also a lifetime committement. We took these vows in a church, before God. So I do believe my marriage is an eternal marriage.

I really believe that marriage is the most sacred relationship that can exist between a man and a woman. The Lord has said, "Whoso forbiddeth to marry is not ordained of God, for marriage is ordained of God unto man". God bless you!

When I put the ring on my finger I did not do it lightly. My marriage is forever. My husband and I have been married for 33 years. There have been good years and there have been bad years but the thing about it the bad just pulled us together closer. When I pass away I will be holding out my hand to rejoin us together as he passes through that gate and comes through on the other side.

I believe in eternal marriage and though I am not married yet, I would want to be married in church with the one I would want to spend my whole life with. Marriage for me, is sacred covenant with God of two people being united to live and to hold for the rest of their lives. My boyfriend wanted a church wedding with the special song being played. I think it's really sweet.
