Hey all, I can say that this was one of my latest favorite movies. I thought it was so inspiring. I can honestly say that Will Smith did an amazing job and I think it is probably one of his best performances. My favorite quote in the movie is, "You got a dream, you gotta protect it. People can't do something themselves, they wanna tell you that you can't do it. You want something? Go get it. Period" - Chris Gardner. He really followed his dreams. I really was inspired by his story. It makes me stay motivated whenever I have an idea or when I am bogged down with a ton of work to do. Keep your eye on the prize.
What do you think of this quote and how does it affect you?

i was already "touched" with how Chris Gardner wanted to improve their life and was even more touched on how he motivated his son that being happy is a choice and a state of mind..he asked his son :"ARE YOU HAPPY?"..the boy answered (half-hearted) "yeah".."IF YOU'RE HAPPY, I'M HAPPY, THEN WERE GOOD"..THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.
i was crying on the scene where they have to spend the night at the Public Toilet at the subway, hardest part of being a parent,
you cant show your children that you are "scared", because our children get their strengths from us ("parents")...
i was so touched with this movie that i recommend it to all my friends and relatives, for them to have an insights of being a SINGLE PARENT...

Wow, this really was a very well made movie and an excellent story line - I guess the true stories are always the most enjoyed by me... Will Smith really demonstrated to us how great an actor he is - with comedies it is not always easy to tell how good an actor someone is, but just how good a comic they are.
I can not recall any particular lines having only seen this movie once and that several months ago... but I like the one you posted :)

It's so funny you said that because I replay that part of the movie almost everyday to keep me focused on me and my dream. It affects me tremendously. To hear it from my second favorite actor (1st denzel)and someone who did just that in pusuing his dream. That quote keeps me focused.
