I was the Head Admin of a turbo league for nearly 2 years... and i can tell you what i know....
when someone signs up (in this case, you) to be in the league (that will host tourneys), you will get sent an email with a 3 digit confirmation code. You will then enter that in the final page of your registration. Also, if you want to get a bunch of "bux", fill in as much info as you can on the page that follows directly after you enter your confirmation code.
"Bux" are used to enter they tournaments, they are like $$ if you were to sit at a blackjack table and play. Some tourneys are free, and some cost "bux", like 10 or 20. It all depends on the host of each tourney.
"Host" of the tourney, is the person that works for the league, that will organize and control how a tourney is played. There are different rules for different games. I can tell you that, for example, in the turbo tourneys i ran.... each player would pay 20 bux, the leauge page for the host would set up who plays who and when. then, the host (or tournament director "TD") would then call out pairs. TD would say go.....they'd play for a certain amt of time (ie 15 min) and then the TD would call stop. At the beginning and end of each 15 min play time, the players would give the TD a starting and ending # (the amt of tokens they have at that time). The person with the biggest gain in tokens after those 15 min is declared the winner.
and so on, until there is one winner....
in some cases, as in gin or dominoes, it just goes by wins. who ever wins, advances.
I can honestly say, it was the MOST fun ive had on pogo. if you have a favorite game, my recommendation is to find a fun league to play that game in, you'll have a BLAST!!!
have fun!!

Hi.. I am currently co-administrator for a fun league on pogo. We are a multi-game league so we host tournaments in several different games. It is so much fun. I would love to have you check us out.. go to www.myleague.com/way2go
I will try to answer as many questions as I can on here. Yes, it is free to join the league. You win fake buxx (like pogo tokens).. you use those buxx to join more tourneys or just save them. Cases does have a store you can spend them in but it would take forever to save enough bux to actually buy something. All the people in our league just play for the fun of competition and the friendships we make. Everyone at way2go is like a big family!! My email and yahoo ID for messenger are on the main page of the league at the above addy. Just IM me and I will help ya out if ya need it!! Mine is aggies_mom Hope I helped ya out!!!

it IS free to join a league...absolutely. Also, the "store" that they refer to is on every league page. Near the bottom, on the left, it'll say "Visit Case's Store" (Case's is who owns/runs the myleague.com leagues). There, you'll see shirts, sweatshirts, boxer shorts, mugs, and many other things, with the CASES logo on it. When I ran my league, I opened my own store. Each league can do that if they wish. At my specific store, league members could (and did) purchase those same items with our leagues logo on it. The prices range from $2.49-$24.99. All in all, not too hefty of prices, but personally, id rather purchase something personalized with my own leagues (or the league i play in) logo.
Hope that helps =)

I think they should have special rooms too.. I'm always afraid to interupt them when they are "playing" I was just curious. I don't think I'd personally join one, I just don't get where the $$ comes from.
