What size do you have and how much can you fit in it?
I have just the small one the hospital gave me back in April. Acutally I think it is pretty big compared to the one they gave me after my last baby in 2002.
That one was smaller and I could pack stuff for 3 kids in it. Two diapers each for the older kids and 4 smaller diapers for the baby, a change of clothes for each (including 2 shirts in each size) and actually 2 extra sets of clothes for the baby, wipes, lotion, tylenol, bandaids and neosporin, extra binky, 1-2 bottles and formula, 2 jars of baby food and 2 spoons, 2 bibs, a recieving blanket, 2 sippy cups, a few toys for the baby and on top I would hang their coats if it was going to be cold.
I feel the bag I have now is pretty empty. It just has diapers for the baby, a change of clothes for each kid (3 outfits for the baby), 1 bottle and some formula and that is about it. My older kids now don't need anything really.

I just used the messenger person type bag for my daughter's bag. I had to carry at least 2 set of clothes to changes, 6 daipers, wipes (I carry the whole thing), 4 wash cloths, my daughter's meds, 5 formula in cans, water, address books, baby blanket, and I had space to carry my things. It got so heavy for me to carry all the time but I miss carrying all that in one bag.

Our bag used to get really heavy too when my oldest three were babies (they are each a year apart). We started leaving it in the car if we didn't think we would need anything during a trip. We had stopped bringing one all together last year, then we had the baby this past spring and I had to get used to packing one all over again. In fact I need to go through it and change out the clothes. They are summer clothes in there and it is freezing right now. I am an expert packer and I am amazed at what I can fit in a small bag.

The one I got for my son from the hospital in 99 was huge. They didn't even give me one this time and it was the same hospital. I had a big one, but now that she's a toddler I've switched to a smaller one that looks more like a purse instead of a diaper bag. Just a couple diapers, my wallet, an extra binky, a sippy cup, a toy, a book, a sippy cup that has a bib, fork and spoon inside it,a burb cloth, and a change of clothes.

Ours is pretty small. We just keep the basics in it, and some snacks for DS (14 months). We've learned that if you use a huge bag and keep everything you might need, you'll have way too much. Just the basics here, and no problems.

I have the Enfamil one from the hospital, but I think it is too small for my twins stuff! It is ripped at the seams. I actually received 3 of them (one for each baby, and one from the NICU), and 2 of them are ripped already.
I carry 2 extra pair of socks, 2 extra onsies, 2 extra outfits, 2 diapers for every 2 hours I'll be out, 2 bottles, lots of wipes, bibs, burp cloths, extra hats, extra blankets, vaseline, germ-x hand wipes, and of course, my wallet! Plus whatever else I might need to bring with me, such as my day planner.
Sometimes I can even squeeze my sunglasses in, but it's rare.

Well I will have a larger bag & then one of the smaller ones you usually get at the hospital. The larger will be used for when we go on trips to Michigan or to my moms. The smaller will be for when I just have to go run errands or a local visit. The bigger, I can use for about a week with diapers, clothes a such. The smaller is about a days worth.
