Do you believe in a eye for a eye?

Ive been wondering on other peoples views on this subject as me and my friend was discussing the subject and we just thought it surely should be an eye for an eye! Anyway hope to hear from your views

For me its not that simple. It really depends on the situation. I've always believed that 2 wrongs don't make a right but with that said I also know that if someone hurt or took the life of anyone I love, I would be the first one shouting "an eye for an eye".
