"newbies" ...ARE WE TO QUICK TO JUDGE ??

why is everyone so quick to ignore, complain about, and judge "newbies"? This does not just include mylot...its every where. Almost every job posting you read requires experience. If everyone had that attitude how would we all BECOME experienced? I have read several ebay listings that clearly state "anyone with 10 or less feedback please don't bid" or "if you have less than 10 feedback ONLY paypal will be accepted as payment" I realize that at some point these sellers have been burned by a "newbie" but should we all pay the price. Just because a ebayers profile bares a blue or red star doesn't make them flawless. I have only been a member of mylot for a short time but I have noticed that same mind set is here too. In a forum such as this a "newbie" really has no effect on fellow mylot users. We are not "working" for you nor are we exchanging money or products with each other. When I read a post, a persons star or lack of has zero influence as to whether or not I reply...If I care about the topic I leave a comment. So often I have read comments like "I dont add a newbie to my friends list" or "I can't be bothered replying to discussions started by a newbie. At some point everyone is a newbie and if you have a star or a perfect rating then I guess you were among the lucky who someone took a chance on.
Lets just be greatful for new comers..just means that these and other forums/websites etc will continue on.

You touch on a subject that happens everywhere. The thing that gets me is every single person starts out as a newbie. They must have forgotten what it was like. You apply for a job. You don't have experience, you have no experience so we don't need you to fill this position. You need to get more experience. Well, if no one is willing to hire you on then how in the heck do you get the experience. This kind of attitude is all over and crawls into a lot of different facades of life. Even here you see this. I personally have always gone and looked at the newbies discussions to see what they are putting up for discussions. Let me tell you I have seen some pretty mind bogling discussions and they were by newbies.

I know what you're saying about the mind bogling discussions... but there not limited to newbies. The saying "it takes all kinds" really applies to this site!!
I must say though for every mind bogling topic is 10 that are either funny or touching and worthy of a discission.

I mean mind bogling in a good way. That the newbies have started some good discussions. I have answered a few newbies discussions as well as people that have been here for a piece of time.

It's human nature I guess. Alot of people forget about how they were the little guy once too. I have seen what you are talking about on ebay. I find that silly. I get many bids and fast payments from people who have a 0 and I am greatfull to be able to be their first positive, if they are great which 99% of them have been.

i agree with you fully on this topic. what is it that makes one not a newbie. we post and we have a brain just as much as anyone else. it isn't our "fault" we weren't introduced to mylot sooner. as a newbie...i have left about 60 responses...helping other people make money on mylot. no i don't know who these people are and some are now on my friends list some aren't. their topics intrigued me so i responded, not looking at their numbers...so since my number is under whatever the newbie status is up to then i don't merit responses???? i don't get it.
