Your Opinion On Cellphones

I've heard a ton of stories on why people do or don't own cell phones. I want to know what your story is. Do you own a cellphone? If yes, what kind? Do you like it? How often do you use it? What features do you use? What phone would you have if you could afford any of them? If no, why not? What's your story? Is it because you can't afford it, or aren't allowed to? If it's because you can't have one, what kind would you get if you could? Thanks!

I have a cell phone for almost ten years now and I can imagine life without it. Once I lost my phone and I was without it for three days and I felt completely lost, because everyone has a cell phone now and I couldn't reach anyone and no one could reach me. I own Motorola v975 now. I use it mostly for talking and writing text messages. Than sometimes I use camera to take pictures or to take down a short movie, most of the time at parties when something funny happens to someone, but I have a bad camera so I don't use it so often. If I had money I'd buy Sony Ericsson W950i or Nokia N91 or Nokia 9300i.

Cellphones are really a necessity for today! It's considered as one of the best way in communication! So, it's really acceptable why a lot of people owned cellphones. Me too own a cellphone, and I use it everyday!

That's the way I am. It's always with me, because I feel lost without it. I use it for a number of things, such as an alarm, a calender, and to make calls. Is a Sony Ericsson a good phone? I just go a LG Strawberry Chocolate phone. So far it's proven to be a very good one.

Yes, I have a mobile phone. I use it everyday usually because I still have dial up internet so it makes the phone line busy so I use the cell phone. My phone is a Samsung from Sprint. My parents pay the bill for it and I have had it since 2001. If my parents didn't pay the bill I would probably pay it or get a pre-paid mobile phone. Have a nice day. Pablo

My dad pays the bill for mine (and my mom's), but in the future I plan on paying for my own. As long as he's willing to pay or it, I don't mind. :-) It was his idea I have one, although I never objected to it!

My daughter put me on her plan because I have her daughter and should have it for emergencies, but I raised both my kids with no cell phone, just like my momm did me and my siblings - and we turned out okay! And after 3 years with a cell phone, not once has there been an emergency. I think people spend far to much time and money on cell phones. I am sorry but no one other than maybe a doctor, needs to be that accessible. I dont' want to have to talk to someone while I'm in the grocery store. I don't want a ]hone reining while I am in the library or doing something els.e And one more thing to fill up my already heavy purse. One more thing to remember to get, take and not leave. And for what? So you can be a everyone's becon call and for why? Just because! And the cost - good grief - with optics these days on landlines - call for free anywhere in te country for free. No prime times, no free weekends, just pick up the phone and talk. I just think cell phones are so unnecessary. And safety? Talkig on a cell while driving - should be outlawed. Or at least head phones/ear plugs required. I've been in to many "near misses" because that other person was on the cell phone while attempting to drive into me!

I don't have one. To me society is over dependent on them. I see so many people who lived most of their adult lives without one and now they can't even leave the house unless it's in their possession. I just don't see the need to have to be in contact with the world no matter where I go. If someone needs to get in touch with me they can leave a message at home and I can call them back if I so choose. I'm not in a profession where I'm on call 24/7. So except for a severe emergency situation I can't see the need for one. Yes if you are doing a lot of back road traveling where there isn't a pay phone for miles and miles then there is a need but for the most part I think they are just a waste of money.

I have motorola camera phone, and I really love it. I use the call waiting, and the alarm. I use my cell phone more than my home phone. I had a Samsung before, and it only last 7 months so I really love my Motorola appears to be a better phone.

I cannot live without my mobile on weekdays as my work require me to be constantly contactable, but I will switch off my phone on weekend, so that I can spend time with my family. I own a smart Phone that sync with my outlook calendar, task and contact list.

as for me, the most use i have from my phone comes from calling and sending sms, and not much else. i used to load games and applications on my phone, but then it broke down, i had it reformatted 3 times, and suddenly, the games just weren't worth the hassle anymore. and oh, i have a 3 year old nokia 3650 as my phone.

Yes, I do own a cellular phone. I always carry with me my three mobile phones. They are all nokia made. Nokia N70 Music Edition, Nokia 7250, and Nokia 1110i which is actually the cheapest. Honestly speaking, I don't think I could live a day without a mobile phone. Before, a cellular phone only serves a single purpose which is for communication. But now, it indeed serves several purposes. In my part, I do use my phone as a music player, radio, video camera, recorder, calculator, clock, notepad, and a lot more stuff. It may be a bit expensive but I really save for it because it is now a part of my life.

I just can live without cellphone. I carry my Samsung X700 and Blackberry 8707. I mainly use my blackberry just for e-mail. I dont feel complete without carrying my cellphone. There are a lot of phone with tons of feature, but I dont use most of them. I use my cellphone only to make call and to receive call, as well as sending text message. Other than I dont use much.
