Feedback on Artworks/Ideas for Ebay

Peek-A-Boo Pirates - My First Ever Childrens Artwo - Okay, so Im not sure if its any good or not- noone has bidded on it yet on ebay so that cant be a good sign lol, considering its almost ended.
Its acrylic on stretched canvas, and entitled Peek-A-Boo Pirates, teh first of a series I plan to paint, as well as moving onto different themes in my art.
So honestly, what do you think?

Ok well we all know I sell on ebay, and have my finger in a number of different pies. Some of you may know that I was recently selling abstract artworks I had painted on there as well. Now Ive started doing childrens paintings (my son inspired me) and Im actually quite nervous about this venture. So honestly, what do you think? If you think its cr@p thats cool, just say it, and maybe add some constructive criticism as to how I oculd make it better. Also, anyone with children have any ideas on popular themes for kids rooms/nurseries at teh moment? I am obsessed with pirates, safari/jungle and castles/knights/dragons- what do your children, and yourselves enjoy?

I'm going to post another picture of a newly created artwork "Stacks On Safari" pretty soon, but just wanted to add a quick question, in case by some miracle, someone else that wants to offer some feedback or advice comes across this discussion (dont worry i wont be holding my breath lol) Does anyone know of anywhere in Australia where you can have your canvas paintings turned into prints on canvas?

Pooh Bear - Used to be the most Popular Theme in Kids Bedrooms.
Hi there Megs the only Ideas that I can give you and which I used to like when Kids where little is Pooh Bear, Disney, Care bears, My little Pony, Thomas the Tank engine, these are just the themes that I used to go for. The other Popular one was Barbie but not to sure if that is so Popular anymore lol. The other thing I might suggest for Girls is Fairies in Fairyland or in the Woods or anything like that

Dont use copyrighted or trademarked images. I think you could easily sell and make good as children artist.

Hey Megs :D I think it's wonderful your passion for childrens artwork. One suggestion I could think of is have you considered setting up a website showcaseing your art w/ the option for ppl to make special request or personalized works for their children? I bet you could even incorporate links to your ebay & strategically place some of your affiliate links. +'s 4 U :)

pondering - A girl sitting alone at night asks "Sparkling, flashing stars, how I wonder where you are. How many light years are you from earth?"
Good art work. Why don't you try to draw some pictures with funny stories. I mean each picture has a simple humorous theme or philosophical thoughts.

The pirates are just adorable! You shouldn't have any trouble selling your artwork. If you don't get the business you want on eBay, maybe try Etsy.com - it's kind of like eBay, only for handcrafted things, in a store type format. I think pirates, jungle/safari and castles are all pretty "in" things for little boys right now - cars and trains, too. Don't leave out the little girls, though - mine is into princesses, ballerinas and mermaids. I'm sure you could do something with those too. In fact, let me know if you do! :)
