How do I get out of this mess? I arrived in the UK six and a half years ago with my wife,3 daughters and 5 suitcases.I remember us standing at Gatwick airport when it suddenly hit me that, that was it,my worldly possessions were right here.We stayed with my wifes cousin while we were looking for a place of our own.We had about £7000 which we would use on a deposit for a house but no one would give us a mortgage - no credit history,we hadn't owed money where we came from.So we had to rent, buy furniture and start from scratch.Anyway now,six and a half years later,we are still renting as we don't have a deposit to buy, instead we owe money but have an excellent credit rating. We have been fortuneate to have been in the same house for all this time.Yesterday we received a letter from the landlord saying he would like to sell.He has offered it to us but there is no ways that we could afford to buy it so it looks like we will be looking for somewhere else to rent.My wife and I both work, always have but just can't get on top of things financially. As soon as we think things are getting better for us someting else happens to drain the bank account but we still believe that oneday it will all come right. Why worry,be happy.

Great attitude to have!! It's great that you've made it as far as you have and that you are surviving! I'm sure that you will make it through this also! Good Luck!

Wow! I love your positive attitude. If more people in this world were like you then the problems wouldn't be as bad, right? I wish you the best finding a new house, I know it isn't easy, but I think you are up to the challenge! Have a wonderful day.
