Just one wish

If I had the power to grant you just one wish BUT there was a condition ....
You can not make the wish for yourself. It has to be for someone else's benefit.
What would that wish be?
Mine would be for my son not to have Noonan's syndrome and all the accompanying problems he faces.

Thank-you so much or giving me your best response! Sorry took a few days to thank you but we took the boys away for a few days break.
I do understand your wish so well. Anything that makes the world an easier place for our little ones to cope with is a bonus, and having parents with friends that care so much is a wonderful supportive gift, thank-you!

This is a very hard question to answer. If you are like me and tend to think that things happen for a reason, and that generally good things come from bad...well you'd be as hesitant as I am to change anything that we perceive as "bad." Even things like illnesses, hurricane katrina etc.
They are terrible tradegies but there is no way of knowing what benefits will come from them in the long run. What lessons people will learn, and their compassion will drive them to do to help those how can be helped.
Do you see my conundrum? With out bad things, good things have no meaning.
I think my one wish, would be for that one wish to go away, because ultimately I think that would be best for everyone.

Mine would constantly change, depending on what I am doing and to whom I am talking.
At the moment, I am concerned about a friend and my dearest wish is that he would come to know the Truth and would be set free.

Great wish. I wish the same for my whole family as they have not come to the truth yet.

I would wish that Hurrican Katrina were much less powerful when she hit, so we would not all have had to go through what we did. No one that went through it will ever be the same.

Two of my cousins live there. The one had a baby that was a few months old and the other a one month old baby. They had to fly with the babies to stay here in NJ till it was safe to go back. The one lost 'everything'.
We will never be the same either.
That is a wonderful wish.

That's very kind of you. Isn't that just like a mom to want their kids.

Not to sound cliche, but I'm thinking "peace on earth". I would love to wish away all war including terrorism. Does that count though? Techincally that would also benefit me as well but it would more directly benefit others.

You're such a wonderful mother who wishes nothing but for the wellness of your son. I hope he'll be doing fine. Well, my wish would be good health and happiness for the people I care about. I wanted to see them always alright and happy no matter what difficulties we have to encounter as we struggle to unearth the real meaning of being here in this world.

I think that that's a great and wonderfully unselfish wish, because i don't think you wish it for the difficulties that you face WITH him, but for the ones that he has to face on his own.
Mine would be happiness for the people in my life that need it. Whether they need money, that it appears, whether they need love, that it comes to them. I just wish happiness on the ones i love, and care about, and heck, barely even know. It would be a better place if there were less bitterness, hatred, and jealousy. So maybe i should with that those emotions weren't around anymore, instead.

Great reply thank you. You are a benevolent person and I am happy to be your friend!
You are right - I will take whatever comes but I don't like seeing my son struggle. He's 2 1/1 and just learning to walk and talk. He is most likely going to need open heart surgery. I surely don't want that.
