As for me I think mitsubishi adventure is one of the fuel saving SUV's aside from the fact that I really dream of having one the latest model.
It is affordable and the same time the durability and quality of the unit as well.

While SUVs in general are very expensive and fuel-consuming vehicles, those SUVs which have hybrid engines tend to consume less petrol. A good example of fuel-saving at still not too expensive hybrid SUV is 2006 Mercury Mariner Hybrid with 33 miles per gallon for highway driving and 29 miles per gallon for city driving. And my personal advice for a fuel-saving SUV is Lexus RX400h - I like this car :)
