In india now a days oldage is a big problem. People are not getting time, and not interested to look after their parents when they get oldage. So people are seeking the service of home nurses. I really feel very bad to this attitude of the people. Old people are really a burden to them. It is really cruel and brutal. A lot of Oldage homes are coming now. Comment pls.

In Canada there is also big problems with getting old. I would like to see more homes for the elderly people but homes where the husband and wife can still live together. Out here they separate the couples which I think is very unfair and the other thing they do is they ship these people to a strange town where they don't know anyone. It's a very serious sad situation.

I will never send my mom to a nursing home.I use to work in one a while back I can't believe how people are treated there. Not only by the staff but by their family members. The health of the older person normally deteriates because they start to withdraw from life , waiting to die. I would rather keep my mom close so that she knows that she is loved and not an inconvience to her family.

Iam so happy to hear this. You are so caring and loving. I think your mother is very lucky to get you as her daughter. Thanks a lot for the response.

I'm sorry to hear about your problems reguarding older people. It is the same here in Canada. I know of different families here that people got too old to be left alone and what happens is they put the husband in one old age home and the wife in a different home then before you know it they move them to a different town because they say there is a shortage for beds. So now what have they got ? First they have to move out of their homes, then after being married for many many years now they get separated, it just isn't fair but that's the way it is. After reading your post I know now it must be all over the world the same thing. It's really too bad and getting awful to grow old. Take Care

It's even worse here in Canada as far as I'm concerned They
put people in old age homes for a short time in their own town then they ship these people to different towns where they don't know anyone. In some cases where the man and wife are both needing care I've seen it where they were split up to go to different towns. This is not fair. These elderly people loose their health their homes and then each other it's too bad and scary to get old.
