the shortest hair i ever had was like the #2 on the top. i had times when i had my hair bald because of my banks (the hair i had in the front to comb it), when i was young. i had to have my hair kinda bald and so my mom told my brother to cut it of.

The shortest I've ever had my hair is cut into a pixie cute. It was cute, but I prefer my hair a little longer. I am bald right now, though, due to chemo. It's very difficult to deal with people staring because they don't understand. I do wear a lot of wigs because of it.

I butched my hair one summer. I was a skinny kid and looked like I was going through Chemo. It was nice though, it kept my head cool.

I've had mohawks, and also had a patch of my head, just a single patch above my ear, shaved so I could have stitches. I also had a few flat tops, quite like the chick from Eurythmics or Billy Idol.

As a male i had to keep my hair short and never grown my hair any longer than four inches. Being bald, yes i have been bald on couple occasions. Back in India, we believe in offering our hairs if our wishes come true. And for me it had happened once and on that occassion i had offered my hair to GOD.

Yes, I have been bald. XD When I was 4.. and the shortest I have had was what we call the "Apple" cut - about an inch or two beneath my ears.^^

I have never been bald but, have had my haircut really short. So, the shortest would be close cut on the sides and back and longer on top.
I have natural curly hair, and have it a bit longer now.

My hair's always been fairly short, except for a brief stint in high school when I kept it long enough to cover my eyes. The shortest its ever been was also in high school during my freshman year. I got a pretty close military-style buzzcut for JROTC.

I've never been bald, but I've had haircuts of many different lengths, from knee-length all the way up to a trendy choppy crop from Toni & Guy's in about 1999. I think if you've got the bone-structure for it, a very short crop or even a shaven head can look very good on a woman - although you do have to make sure you wear the right sort of make-up - eye make-up being the key! I've pretty much stuck with bob - mid length hair nowadays, depending on when my hair was last cut. I think that it's a good idea to try out different hairstyles when you're a teenager/young 20s, as it's all part of finding the right look to suit you and experimenting with different styles. Are you thinking of cutting your hair short? If you want to, make sure you go to a good salon, as it's worth paying that bit more for a short haircut - otherwise you could be stuck with a naff hairdo (and when they're shorter, bad haircuts do look worse) which will take months to grow out. Toni & Guy or Vidal Sassoon are always a safe (if pricy) bet, depending on whether you prefer trendy or classic.

When I was much younger, I tried to cut my own hair (disaster!). To fix it, my mother took me to the local beauty salon. The only way to fix my waist-length hair was to chop if off to the middle of my ear. It looked like a bowl cut from the 70's. I hated it. It took me years to grow it back out.
I never cut my own hair again, until I was much older and it was only a bang trim! I am pretty good with cutting bangs or running clippers for men's haircuts, but I cannot do the layered cut, so I don't try anymore. I learned at an early age, it's best to give that work to the professionals! :-)

Not bald, but half inch long when I was still in college,. It was the "in" at that time and i felt so carefree when I had that haircut.

The shortest haircut that I can remember is like the military cut.. the ears and nape are exposed, that was during the high school days when girls would opt to join the CAT (citizen army training.
But when I was just a baby (this I can't remember) my mom just told me, that she had my hair removed... bald... because she said I had thin hair.
