lets just say you are a kid in school right now and all that is required is ONE class of your choice, which class would it be? Reading, Math, Science, History, Geography, Music, Gym. I would pick Science, that's always been my favorite class. No computer class - this is before computers came along.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh math! I find it amazing how some people are so good with numbers. My brother is like the way my father was they can do anything in their head - like a walking adding machine. I can't 2 + 2 to save my life. I guess in my brain the wiring was not done correctly. lol

I would select Accounting, which really helped me be organized in many of my other classes. All of the numbers had to be perfect to add the columns or the instructor would have us do the work over again. Several areas in my life are helped by this class. My checkbooks, which are always balanced to the penny, and would be time consuming, if there was a mistake. In my business, I sell many water plants and other items for ponds and aquariums and its important to know where I make money, so I can expand my business in the profitable areas. I might add having great accounting skills makes IRS Forms easier to fill out; however, they still are time consuming with all the changes made each year.

No, I am not that good. I would never claim to even be that good for others to hear me most of the time. I do better in group singing or just for fun.

Choir is a good choice. If you could, would you every try out for American Idol?

I think I would pick Music. I love all types of music and would love to have the opportunity again to sing in a chorus with proper instruction and training. Gym would be my second choice. I loved gym because I loved to play sports. I was a great player lousy spectator. :)

This is a hard choice for me! There were so many topics that I liked in school, though of course I sat in the back of the classroom with my horror novels and pretended not to listen all the time, being the freak that I was. I'd have to say literature honestly. It would be easy for me then, because by the time I was in high school I had already read most of the books that were required. Not to mention that a literature teacher would doubtless be able to recommend good books that I hadn't read, and that would very much excite me.

For me it would definitely have to be English. From the time I was very young I've always loved words and reading. The origins of words are still fascinating to me and I absolutely love reading. I guess you can tell I'm enthusiastic about this, lol. That must be why I always did well in my English classes.

Yes it is. I've tried to learn some other languages, mostly German and Italian, but can only speak very simple sentences in those languages. I think on the whole I'm interested in a lot of different languages, word origins, word roots, etc. It's interesting.

My class would be reading. I have loved reading since I learned how. I am still an avid reader. I read at least 2 books a week. I read magazines, and have to always have a book in hand. I am lost without my books. I love going to the library. Good discussion howard96h. Take care...

Good choice. I am a picky reader if it's not a Bio or true crime then I will loose interest rapidly and then I won't finish it. Ever read any e-books? Thanks for responding.

Definitely English/Reading. I absolutely LOVED English in School, whereas my friends hated it. They enjoyed Math whereas I hated Math LOL. Even today I'm terrible with Numbers. Science wasn't so bad, certain areas I enjoyed, I enjoyed religious education too, but I think English was definitely my favourite. I've always been a good reader from a very early age.

I was never crazy about English, Science was always my favorite. Math, forget it, I still dread having to figure certain things out. In school I learned inches, feet, yards, etc. they never taught us the metric system so now when people use these measurements I am lost out in left field somewhere.

I'd want to take Spanish. My English is fine, and I haven't seemed to get much use out of my high school Japanese classes. I should've learned the language which would have been more helpful to me as an American.

I agree, my niece studied Japanese too and never had the opportunity to use it. She then switched to Spanish which she uses every day. Isn't Spanish considered the second language in the US? It amazes me how all the non-Hispanic doctors and nurses in the emergency rooms speak enough Spanish to communicate with Spanish speaking patients. I think they now have a few Spanish classes that they need to take in medical schools to help them when they graduate.

I admire people like my father and little brother who are great at math. I wish I had it in me. I couldn't solve a math problem to save my life.
