adoption of child

To adopt a child is like adopting a great responsibility. b'coz
1. The child is not yours
2. You dont know the family history of the child.
when the child grows you come to know whether the child is mentally sound or not. He or she can talk or not.
what do you think on this matter?

I think it is a wonderful act of love to adopt a child. Two people can conceive a child out of love, or sometimes out of lust, but it takes real love to make the decision to adopt a child. If I ever want children in my future, I plan to adopt, prefferably from overseas somewhere.
