Well, do they? I sometimes think my cat knows exactly what I am saying. I'll even go so far as to say she makes expressions, and feels jealous of the new babies in the house. What do you think?
AND (just a thought), if you DO think they have feelings...is it still okay to eat meat?
Just curious as to your opinions. I think it will make an interesting discussion.

So then do you think it's okay to eat meat? Is it only okay to eat an animal nobody loves?

They definitely have feelings. My dog once got really mad at my mum because she made him wear these little shoes that he couldn't walk in, and she kept laughing at him. In the end, he just ran to my brother (something he never does) and started growling at my mum when she tried to pick him up.
Pets get are scared of getting told off in general so they must have this sense of knowing, as in, if they litter in the wrong places and start walking slow (that's what my dog does) and hide, they know they've done something wrong/scared to be told off.
I still think it's ok to eat meat though, I mean, animals also eat other kinds of animals to survive.. but the best way is probably to be a vegetarian?
