I did ask this question few hours ago and still surprised that no one has responded to this. This is really important to me so I need to be convinced about this.
Does long distance relation work (Internet relationship) and if yes, How does it? and if No, why doesnt it?

Yes it does and no it doesn't???
It does if both partners are really looking for true through this relationship.Long distance relationship for me means tolerance, sacrifices of caprice, patience.
It doesn't if one of the partners is just playing, because it's easy on the net to date,as the relation is not physic (easy to make yourself different to what you really looks like).Be careful if you are involve in one,too much players and scammers on the net.

My sister lived in Minnesota while her Boyfriend lived in California. They saw eachother every few months. They did not meet on the internet though, they met through friends and family of their friends. They went through this long distance relationship for 4 years. He proposed to her once and she said No because she was still finishing up college. They talked on the phone every day for hours. After college she moved there, and they got married. They are on their second kid and they are one of the happiest couples I have ever seen!
My OTHER sister and her boyfriend broke up and he moved to New York while and she stayed in California. They talked on the phone all the time and dated other people since they were broken up. 1 year later they decided they didn't want to be apart and are now getting married. They have a 1 year old daughter now too!
I think long distance relationship work if you WANT them too. It takes two to make it work. And it takes a ton of trust and disciplin. I dont know what I'd do without my man for a long long time though. It's got to be hard, but it can work.
