If you were asked to choose between a laptop or a PC what would you choose? I would definitely prefer a PC because they are more powerful than laptops and many accessories can also be added to them like graphics card, ram, processors can also be changes when required. So they give better performances than laptops.

Both PC & Laptops are great in there place. PC are great & are very popular on there part, having many upgraded things more flexible & for some persons easy to handle than laptop. But now a days seeing the demand & easyness i will first prefer laptops. They are just great to use. U can't say that PC is good to use & can be upgraded or having powerful mechanism than laptops. If u have money u can get a laptop equal or more powerful then PC. Moreover with laptops u can mobile anywhere easily. Like PC's u can connect internet with laptops, u can connect printers with laptops, u can use 160 GB hard disk with computer, can use graphics, card ram (highest), & even processors , can attach pen drives, MP4 players etc etc with it. Laptops are also getting flexibility now a days & can do more than u do on PC's. The most & best thing of laptops are that they are easy to mobile with & can use anywhere u sitting & not like PC to sit only on one place & do work........ SO i will prefer laptop first & then PC........

I'm sorry but you are wrong. Laptops can not do more than PCs. The only real advantage to them is size and mobility. You can not use the highest speed RAM or graphics with them, although there are a few with high end video cards if you don't mind shelling out a few thousand dollars.

I prefer a Lap Top, although I have both. I agree with the whole up grade thing though, because if you would like up grade your graphic card in most cases ya can't & if you would life a new processor, you would have to replace the mother bord, which is anything but cheap. (Great Question)

I would probably choose a laptop just for the mobility, i use my laptop alot and its nice to go different places with it, insted of being in one room all the time away from everyone. but i do agree that not being able to upgrade is a downside

I'd prefer a PC because you can upgrade it's performance and also as you say it's cheaper. Having a laptop maybe fun but there's no possibe way of upgrading it according to my knowledge. If a part busts unlike in a laptop you can't change or replace the part as in a PC, so I prefer a PC better.

I'd prefer a desktop for simple reasons like: it's easier to find parts it's easier to upgrade using the typical keyboard and mouse for playing games is better than using a laptop keyboard and a touch pad. Of course you can attach a mouse but it'll just consume more power. you can personalize your hardware setup it doesn't get plagued by a short battery life or a battery that's expired. parts on a laptop are also more expensive to replace. It's also hard to resell them.

Well I use both. My desktop at home, and my laptop everywhere else. Since I currently work from home my Desktop is more valuable to me. Also I am a gamer and laptops are very limited in the graphics cards available. 99% of laptops can never have their video card upgraded so you have to get what you want all in one package when you buy it. My laptop has integrated ATI graphics which are adequate for gaming on very low settings, but I like being able to play games on their highest settings as they were intended.

I prefer a desktop any day. I have both but I had so many problems with my laptop and they are not easy to work on. It had a 1 year warranty and 1 year and 3 days the modem quit working and I figured no big deal, I can replace that. I found out that you need to replace the whole motherboard. I added a PC card modem and then my PCI port quit working, so I now am using an external modem. I learned my lesson, I will stick with desktops from now on.

It totally depend on the work for which i choose my computer..If for traveling job i would definately choose the LAPTOP as is provide lot of ease... For home use i would definetly choose DESKTOP computers... as they are more powerful and provide more options for accessories.

Hi, I do agree with you for the utilities of pc but pc is really not suit for me since I am working on software developement, graphic design and so on. My works require me lot to be online and in the same time I used to travel to handle my other projects. So, by using the notebook I can do all my works any time and any where. I think the price for a good performance notebook now on is not that much. It just cost USD1000. That is worth enough.

Well the answer is totally depend on the work you do. I also prefer the pc insted of laptop but i have seen that laptop have been a lifesaver in many situationes. The point goes like this if you are a gamer go for pc and if you are a business man go for the laptop.
