Multiple marriages whats the stats?

Hi all. Im in my second marriage after an abusive first. My second one is not going so well. Don't get me wrong, I worship my hubby and 100% do not wish ours to end but we are having issues with both sets of stepchildren. My question is do people really have 3rd and fourth and so on marriages? Or is that just on telly or for celebrities? The reason why I ask is that do people in second marriages give up easily when they're on the rocks because they have done so before? Or do they work doubly hard to save it? I would like to hear anyones view on this, especially those that are in their second or more marriage.
