I Hate The Vivas

This is a discussion for all those who hate Vivas. im into engineering n there r hell of a vivas taken,i jus hate them.It is important but too boring to give one n yes u hav to be precise n right at the same time So i would like ur views too also tell me hav u all would like the vivas to be? what kind of questions should be asked? well if u ask me i wud say...........there should be no vivas at all..........Whay say people???

viva voce...man, i get shakes all over when i hear these dreaded words. as if studying like crazy isnt hard enough, we students have to go through this additional torture of being grilled like a spring chicken! i dont think i have yet had a viva that was tension free. its just the added pressure of giving a good impression to the interviewer that gets to me, for i know the marks the external invigilator gives impacts the final score in a major way. add to this the fact that i'm usually the first one to be callled up(roll number wise!) so its added tension for me as i havent had a chance to calm my already frayed nerves. sometimes the person taking viva is nice, but there are more cases than i can count when the person taking the viva is an agent of the demon,for such are the questions framed and the manner in which they are asked. there are some who will make you feel like absolute crap if you dont know a few things. i too agree that vivas should be banned...its way too much pressure.
