Was Vengsarker right on his comment about Sehwag's selection?

Its good that someone says boldly in front of camera what happened in the selectors discussion. Atleast now sehwag will know that he is in the team of just bcoz of dravid and he should reciprocate by giving 100 % in the field and keep dravids head high is sehwag listening?

ha even i think shewag should be dropped...i dont think he should be included into WC squad...he is given with enough chances and i think....he has not proven his point or his worth to be selected in the team.,.....he hardly has 3 to 4 kinds of shots in his bag....and always tries the same kind of shots for all balls.... any ways vengsarkar said that DRavid has insited and put faith in sehwag.......we should see how it goes in the world cup...and i think Vengsarkar has done a gud job leaving it to the capitan.....now if sehwag fails ...i think only dravid shud be blamed...

Well everybody knew that Sehwag was in the team due to Dravid wanting him in the team. As there were lot of media spectulations on this issue and that how selectors were against sehwag being included in the team. But i feel captains should have say in team selection. And i feel selctors would have dravids' defence of sehwag and surely selcotrs then went along it , so it was a collective decision in whihc vengeskar was too involved as chief selector. Moreover, since captain is the person who is held responsible for teams defeats and is incharge of team on field he should have say in these matters. As only he knows the players on personal level. And then Ricky ponting also had his say when he got Symonds who had major surgery included in world cup when he was not at all fit. So captains' do tent to back players they believe will win them games. I just hope now Sehwag delivers for sake of himself, his captain and the indian team.

i think he shouldnt disclose this in public because it can happen that it might lead to controvercies!!

i dont think it is right actually..these matters should be treaten in the room..its not like that we all get aware of these so its good..but there is something called secret which must be maintained..even it really affects the image of rahul dravid..he is the captain and if he thinks shehwag should get a chance..then whats wrong even saurabh ganguly had got so many chances..sachin had also suffered from that from so many times..these are great batsmans and they can turn around the match..
