I buy a lot of things in charity shops and I make a lot of my own clothes too. I recently bought a lovely long back velvet dress for £2 then fitted new sleeves to it and added some trimming, this is now a stunning new dress and completely unique, and all for a couple of pounds. There's nothing wrong with second hand clothes so long as they are in good condition.

True I do exactly the same and so much more. Its what I call clever thinking. Once I went into a charity shop and bought a slimline halterneck ball gown for a dollar. I then added glass beads and lace appliques to the bodice. I won a beautiful gift basket with an expensive parfum set and various womens accessories in it for being best dressed. Total cost of dress less than $10.00 because the lace was purchased from a thrift store also lol. The beads costs the most from a craft shop. I had a ball alright!
Sorry I've got this question loaded twice and almost identical as I went back to edit it and did not realise it was loaded already. Please excuse my booboo if you come across it!
