Some things my cat has taught me about prayer

I was just sitting here typing away on myLot when my cat came around the corner and looked up at me and meowed. I tryed to pet her but she just backed away. She was asking to be fed, but I wouldn't have fed her unless she asked. This helped me learn that prayer, asking God for what I need is important. She's very particular, and she will come ask for food anytime she can see the bottom of the bowl. The bowl is sometimes full, but she's cleared on little spot, and she cries and cries until you add more to it. This taught me that a) i don't always need the things I think I do, and b)even though she didn't need the bowl filled, I did it anyway because she kept on asking - there are times to be persistent in prayer. When she eats after crying like that, she sometimes purrs, and it makes me feel good to be appreciated by her in that way. This taught me that I should give thanks when God answers my prayers, because Im sure He likes to be aprreciated as well.

I've seen a lot of strange stuff on mylot, but this totally boggles my mind. Apparently you have a very loose connection to reality. But anyone who thinks there is a god that answers prayers will see connections in the most ridiculous places.

lol - There is a strange peace and connectiveness I've noticed recently. God is really guiding me, making things make sense for me in a lot of different ways. It's really amazing to get a piece of God's wisdom, because it comes with a feeling of peace and assurance. I have lots of ideas, thoughts, etc, but I can always tell God from my own thoughts because it slices through the bull and cuts straight to the heart of the matter. You should join us on some of our religious discussions, you might learn to like it! ;-P

Thanks for the invite, but I prefer reality to fantasy.

I think that you have made a very good point. It's funny how God reveals things to you in the most unlikely ways sometimes. I believe that you are living in reality, unlike someone a few comments above...no worries. You have given some people insight and I believe God spoke to you in that way so that others could understand. A lot of people wouldn't be strong enough to share such a thing that others may laugh at or treat as nonsense. I thank God that you did. It made me look at prayer in a different way as well. Thank you.

Thank you very much for sharing this story and your thoughts. It seems like you have a special cat as well as special knack for interpreting things. I admire that. And I hope to read many more of your posts and discussions.
