Moving to a differenent country almost causes cultures shock:
may be for greeting custums, dress coat, religions, people.....etc.
For instance about greeting custums, some countries like Sweden, their they greet each other just by shaking with hand,
on the other hand countries like Brazil greeting by shaking with hand and hugs.

Yes, but the thing that throws most people who come to UK is that they don't understand that here it is considered very bad manners when you are a guest in someone else's home not to belch loudly after being fed, thus assuring your host that you appreciated the meal
all the best urban

Well I am from the UK, but I have lived in various parts of the world, before coming back to live here permanently. My partner is from Argentina, so i think he experienced quite a few "culture shocks" when he first came to live here. I think most "foreigners" are a bit taken aback by how seemingly cold British people are. Unless it is very close friends or family, we don't kiss or hug on greeting - more shake hands like the Swedes do, and he found that quite hard to get used to, as South Americasare much more effusive! Also, the fact that Brits (like most Northern Europeans) eat their dinner at about 6.00pm, whereas South Americans generally eat at 9.30pm - 10.00pm. It took him ages to adjut to that, as atfirst he was just wanting to eat dinner when i was ready to sleep! LOL! We adjusted pretty well though!
Cheers.

Grateful for your response.
Thanks for these hints, I guess that's good to get married with a partner from another country with other culture.
